About Lena

  • MS in Human Service Counseling with a specialty in Crisis Response and Trauma Care

  • Over 10 Years of Cross-Cultural Experience

Merhaba, my name is Elaina (or Lena), and I’m an American expat living in Jeddah. I'm here to be a trusted friend and support for you. Regardless of where you're from, all women have parts of their stories they wish they could change or erase. Although I can't change the past, I can help you process and find hope again after grief. One of my greatest joys is seeing women find hope and healing despite their circumstances. I'm here to hold out hope for you when your grief is heavy and your hope seems lost.

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”

Why Trauma Care?

Emotional Trauma Care is helping normal people deal with abnormal hardships within their life. Trauma Care is like the psychological EMT for counseling. We help people get back to a new normal using creative and personalized paths to healing and wholeness.

Sounds Intimidating and Scary...

You’re right! This concept of pursing healing is somewhat of a newer concept here, however when you’re doing it in a safe context… it’s a way to honor your story and care for your emotional well-being. Everything shared and processed is completely confidential. Each woman has a unique story, so I will come up with an individualized path of healing for her. I am not a counselor, I am a Trauma Specialist. Because of that, I help people over a shorter period of time (usually just a few sessions) to help them regulate their minds and bodies to process what may have happened to them. I help them create support systems and rhythms of health so that they can experience joy and hope once again.

What Others Are Saying...

"Elaina’s taught me to be more introspective and allowed me to learn exactly how to process my emotions. She always gave me creative ideas as well to help others work through their trauma. Very practical and life-changing!"

"Elaina has a vast wealth of knowledge when it comes to how to address, work through, and heal from trauma. While coaching a community of trauma healing practitioners, she had great insight in how to approach a variety of trauma scenarios, how to best support our clients, and how to be healthy practitioners ourselves. She is a kind, empathetic life-long learner who I would recommend to anyone."

"The sessions I did with Elaina were beyond what I thought some counseling could do for me. She is unique in her ability to see you as a whole, hear and feel with you, while simultaneously quickly picking up on your gifts and strengths. I felt empowered to process my emotions, encouraged in my natural giftings and ready to continue onto the next season of my life with peace."

"My time with Elaina couldn’t have come at a better time when I was making a huge transition in life as well as deal with old pains and how they presented in my life. It was a great time of awareness and finding some space to give myself understanding while pushing me to grow from the pain not use it to stay the same. She is easy to talk to and such a delight to have in your corner!"

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

Each person is unique, and their path to healing is as well. Because of this, some people will just need one session to help get some tools to help them process or cope with a critical incident, and others may need 3-5 sessions. Sometimes women want to meet every other day for a short amount of time, and others want to space out their sessions. The number of sessions and the space between them is up to you. You have control over how many you'd like to have.

What is the Cost?

I can send you a list of the different packages. I offer a discount to those who pay for 3 or 5 sessions in advance. Discounts are also given to students attending university.

Is What I Share Confidential?

Yes! This really is a safe space. I am for you, and I do not share what is shared with anyone else. Many times I hear the hardest part of people's lives, heavy loads they've been carrying alone for a long time... and people feel relieved (and a little scared at first) to be listened to and affirmed. I'll be an advocate for healing and health for you on your journey.
